Meet Katie - Working Mum & Founder of 'Glamready'
Katie worked with the Daily Juggle to bring her idea for a business to life. With a full time job and a toddler it was quite a challenge. Katie is passionate about being a make-up artist and she wanted to bring A list hair & make-up straight to you. 'Glamready' was born and now Katie has a team of artists prepping everyone from ballroom dancers to body doubles.
So how did she do it? Can a working Mum with a passion, a talent or an idea build a business and raise a family? Read Katie's story and find out…
Julie saved my sanity.I had a great job doing what I loved, but then I had my son and suddenly everything was different. All of a sudden my old life and my treasured job just didn't fit anymore.
I struggled being someone who didn't fit into the category of career focused or yummy mummy maternal. I found myself in limbo. When I was at work I felt guilty for not being with my son and when I was at home I worried about what I was missing out on at work. Ultimately I was miserable and felt more and more depressed and confused. Julie listened to me talk about loving my job, but also feeling the need to spend time with my son. As a working mum herself I felt like she absolutely understood how I felt and where I wanted to be. After our sessions (that were as much fun as having a good girly chat) I felt uplifted and motivated. I happened to mention in passing an idea that I had for a business. 'So why don't you do it?' She said. We kept in contact via email, text and on the phone and never she let me lose momentum.I remember 1 question she asked me'So, is it important to keep things small to start with or do you want to take over the world?' 6 weeks after our first session Glam Ready was born. Website designed (by me! No, I couldn't believe it either!), business cards ordered and my first job booked.
They say you cant put a price on happiness, but It's honestly the best money you will ever spend!

Meet Lizzy - Daily Juggler & Movie Night Maker
Lizzie hit a crossroads in 2013. Everything in life seemed like hard work & she was no longer sure that her job, her home life - in fact her whole life was the right fit anymore.
She had done plenty of soul searching and talking to friends but instead of making her less stuck this made things worse. Lizzie wanted clarity and support and here at The Daily Juggle we make that kind of thing our top priority! Within 6 weeks Lizzie had the clarity she needed. No hocus pocus, just lots of homework and support from the Daily Juggle. Let Lizzie tell you her story and see if you can get inspired…
Working with Julie has quite literally been a game-changer for me. I've spoken to a couple of other life-coaches before, and Julie just beats the lot of them hands down. Her uncanny intuition to understand how you feel and what's going on inside your head and to help you figure out what you actually want and what you should do next has been amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. She will try different approaches until the penny finally drops and you get your 'Aha!!' moment. Her sharp nouse and her brilliant sense of humour help to untangle all the scary mess. And then all of a sudden you are zooming down a road of possibility that you didn't think was ahead of you. It's quite extraordinary. And hanging out with Julie has been so much fun, so the whole process has been amazing.
I'm a TV news producer, and I've had moments...many, many moments...of wondering if this is really right for me. It often felt to me like I had a great job, but that I was an awkward fit. I needed something a little more light-hearted, a bit more fun and creative to do alongside it.
I've harboured a mad desire to run my own independent cinema for ages. But that just seemed bonkers. So I wouldn't really entertain it. Plus I didn't think I was 'the kind of person to get things done'. But Julie showed me otherwise. And she showed me how you can make tiny baby steps that don't feel too difficult. So now I've bought a projector, I've learned to make amazing cakes and whip up tasty cocktails...all so I can bring to you....Lizzy's Movie Nights. A bespoke cinema experience where you can watch your favourite movie, while sipping your favourite cocktail, be it in the comfort of your own lovely home, or outside in a gorgeous garden, beamed onto a huge screen. The possibilities are endless.
Julie has been such an inspiration to me. Her warmth and her unstoppable zest for life is truly infectious. She's truly boosted my self-confidence, and has kept me on track, even when I just want to lie down and sink several gin and tonics. She's also been able to distil what my values are, to give me clarity about what makes me tick. What do I find important in life? What do I want my life to look like? Julie has been amazingly helpful with getting me to this point where for the first time in absolutely ages, I don't feel like a crazy mentalist, but feel quite calm and focused....and I feel really excited about the future.
The incredible thing is, you just need a little shove in the right direction, and a coach and mentor to cheer you on, and then there really is no stopping you from getting what you want.
